What was the best part about using Act-On?
The email composer is awesome. I do know how to code emails, but the composer is far superior than any other "drag and drop" composer I've experience before, and I've experimented with plenty that are not good. This one is by far the best.
The other feature I really like is the drip campaign. It's very easy to create and organize your campaigns.

As with all technology adoptions - ensure your demand generation strategy is set first. This will help align yourself and highlight what areas of marketing automation functionality you should favor in the short, medium and long term. Also pay close attention to your content marketing, lead management processes, definition etc. Once these pre-requisites are in place, Act-On will adapt and snap into that framework.
What would you change about your experience with Act-On?
Very few dislikes. Areas for improvement include.
- Continuing the UI and designer capabilities already well underway.
- Enhancing the social media integration options
- Adding more CRM and webinar out-of-the box integrations.
We are a medium sized company and only have one person dedicated to marketing. Act-On allowed us to be much more efficient in our email marketing with our small team. We now have a robust email campaign that we can easily score and track. Our users have visibility that they never had before in how their customers are interacting with automated emails.
Overall Feedback
Sales efficiency. With Act-On, we have a complete history of our prospects' activity. Ex: how many times they visited out website, which web pages they visited, how many emails they opened, etc. These insights are extremely valuable to our sales team. We use Act-On’s CRM integration with Salesforce so our sales reps can view the activity right in their Salesforce account with a click of a button. We use the Act-On lead scoring so reps can easily recognize hot leads. On our website, we utilize Act-On forms for demos, contract us, API sandbox requests, and test drive. All information is pushed into Salesforce automatically.
