TriNet Expense

Trinet Expense is a time tracking and expense reporting software which is parter of a larger suite of HR software tools by this company. My first impression while logging into my account was wow it's fast. I noticed how responsive and quick the software worked which is great to increase productivity. Believe it or not, there are still popular business softwares that are slow and lag like it's the late 1990's. I find the pricing to be very reasonable and slightly lower than the industry average during my research into similar softwares in the market. Trinet Expense can be used on your smartphones including iPhone, Blackberry and Android as well as Ipad tablets. The best feature in my opinion is the ability to scan receipts with your phone, label them and upload them directly to your account for automatic filing. That's a huge time saver compared to doing things manually. You can also track time, mileage and submit, approve edit expenses and reports. There's a self service setup available where you can utilize a device for staff time tracking locally which is great. They already support over twenty thousand credit and debit cards in over one hundred and sixty currencies. This says volumes about their target market being international and definitely differentiates this company from others. You can also utilize Google maps, credit card reconciliation, set expense enforcement policies and so much more in a central dashboard. The user interface is quick as I've mentioned, but it's also very intuitive and easy to learn. There's a very small learning curve involved and it would be easy to bring agents or reps onboard. You can also integrate with a lot of accounting softwares like Quickbooks, Intacct and Net Suite which another way to use an online system to streamline financial processes and save a lot of time from doing so much manually. I like that you can view a history of expenses and the reporting features available too. The setup of your account is very easy and straightforward. It's right at the top of my list regarding this compared to other similar expense reporting softwares available online. This software is a massive time saver and with a free personal account available that is somewhat limited though still very useful you can get a feel as to whether it's suitable for your business, or not.

I didn't use the app yet but I've read there is no notification of an expense being sent. It would be easy to implement this and give peace of mind to the user that this work has been completed successfully. The ability to print line item expenses would be another useful feature to add which would save time from having to print the webpage and work with that. Integrating Quickbooks initially is a bit confusing but once you do it a few times I'm sure it would become easy for most people. It would be nice to see expense details summarized in reports which have been approved. The user interface inside the website is a bit old school. It certainly functions well but it could be modernized in terms of style as well as utilize all of the open space available to increase user friendliness.

Overall, Trinet Expense is a really solid time tracking and expense software with robust features and tremendous ease of use. The amount of time it would save businesses and sales reps is huge. While the user interface could use an update in terms of style it's still very intuitive to learn and use quickly. I was able to login and begin using the system for my business within a few minutes. The paid plans are very reasonable and based on the time saved there is a huge ROI possible. With a free account I definitely recommend trying Trinet Expense out to learn if it's the best for your company for sure.
