It literally has everything a small business would need to handle billing and accounting, especially suited well for service oriented businesses. If you're a small fledgling business this is probably your best bet as far as learning a full featured reasonably priced accounting system. Now, of course there are other possibilities out there, and many of them are lower cost, however I would be careful because it's only after you have all your data in the system and you've been using it for a few months that you realize that your cheaper alternative software that you purchased is lacking the features that you need to perform an important task.

QuickBooks (Intuit) sucks at making their product integrate well with other products. Take Salesforce for example. Salesforce is widely recognized as the leader or the most used SaaS CRM, and still QuickBooks will not allow Salesforce integration to have a Bi-directional update SYNC feature that is always up to date. This is not only insane, but super frustrating for users. It's been 5+ years and still they haven't gotten it right. So irritating....I'm telling people if they want to have a accounting package that will integrate well with a CRM, then DO NOT use QuickBooks. There are many alternatives.

Having used QuickBooks for a couple years the newest version has so much more to help a small or large business. Everything you need is at the click of the mouse, what's coming in, what’s going out, projecting your budget better and best of all track your income so much easier... knowing what’s coming in when, where and from who. Posting payments, paid by cash? Check? Credit card? I love this feature. Tracking emails sent, adding multiple attachments to an email. It doesn't get any better than this.
