Trello is a project and daily organizer tool which has very collaborative features. I like using it to plan my projects in great detail. I've always been a fan of making lists when it comes to systematically taking care of responsibilities. Whether it be a grocery list, packing to travel, work priorities and now writing a book. Trello is great for that kind of stuff. I've begun using Trello to help organize my priorities in terms of creating and developing a systematic writing process. In the initial stages of this book while world building I set out what I need to create starting with the big picture as the title of each Trello Board and quickly list as many items for each as I can for each. Or spend more time with one aspect as my priority in order to develop this better specifically. The associations in the quick lists help to make connections which can produce a real tangible idea for your story. Trello helps me to ask the right questions when creatively brainstorming the details of characters, locations and things in my story because my main priorities are clearly laid out in front of me. And the ability to add lists is great because it's one my favorite ways to learn. I believe a lot of other people may find a creative use for Trello as well. Cool tool for business too. The real time sharing and editing capabilities are the best feature besides the lists in my opinion. You can work with others around the world super easily and edit projects or tasks in real time so everyone is always on the same page. That's incredibly efficient use of time and something that wasn't even possible twenty years ago. Now it's free with Trello. I should mention you can also share images and other files or documents very easily. And you can use their mobile app too which is free and allows you to work with your lists offline.. There's a front and a back to each card which is cool. The user interface is very minimal and user friendly but there is a lot of information possible in each board you create. The free version syncs with Box, Dropbox and Google Drive which is awesome. With the paid versions you have more integrations possible which they call power-ups including Slack, Google Hangouts, Evernote, GitHub, SalesForce, MailChimp and more. Paid subscriptions are currently $8.33 and $20.83 per user, per month billed annually and this seems very reasonable.

I wish there was a three step tutorial wizard which took you through the main account aspects. I understand it is a relatively simple system but when there is any unknown in a learning curve it takes more time and could be more efficient. Unfortunately the Trello app in only available for Apple iOS 8.3 or later so I can't use it on my iPhone 4 but I'll upgrade soon and chances are I may switch from Wunderlist for my daily lists. Trello may be best for smaller teams. It could get confusing with more than ten or twenty people working on a project. In that sense it's not a full blown task or project management system for large teams but can function well in this role with smaller teams.

If Trello suits you or your team well enough to use daily the free plan has enterprise level features and functionality though it's probably not the best choice for teams of ten or more, in my opinion. The first paid subscription would be great value because you can integrate other online business solutions and basically run a lot your business from the Trello dashboard with a large ROI possible. I like Trello for it's ease of use and ability to facilitate creativity. If you use lists to take care of daily responsibilities, or like to plan and prepared for important events then Trello; especially the mobile app, will make you very happy.
