Mozilla Firefox

I like that it's a free open source internet browser software program with a multitude of add-ons and customization options available. I've been an avid Firefox user for over ten years. I've seen Firefox updates hundreds of times which showed Mozilla's commitment to updating their software. It must be a massively complex job as there are hundreds of devices it must be compatible with at all times and updates to common integrated software that we use to view media regularly such as Flash. So kudos to them as an open source software to be viable and popular for so long would take a lot of work by a very large team ongoing and they take care of their end. The interface is very straight forward and easy to use with a menu bar at the top of the page with your main account settings. You can create multiple tabs in Firefox so it's a great way to have brainstorming and research sessions based on a particular subject. Firefox is typically fast once it has loaded up. I've noticed issues with every browser which is the nature of internet and technology in general; it's always changing so fast that there will probably always be challenges for internet browsers to keep up. Firefox is not perfect but it is very consistent overall and I use two internet browsers; if there is a minor issue which I know will be resolved with a coming update I will switch to Google Chrome and vice versa. Though both seem more stable than they've ever been nowadays. I always download and install Firefox on a new computer and find it integral to my testing web development across various browsers. I use an add-on called Session Manager to save various sessions for different projects and use this to pull my last research session up quickly at any time. It's a huge time saving feature and increases my productivity a lot. I also use other add-ons daily in Firefox that make my life easier. LastPass is a one-click form filler where I store my personal and business information as well as passwords securely while I can fill in web forms in a couple clicks. For example, I use LastPass in Firefox regularly to fill in my Gmail login instantly. And with over five hundred passwords from my accounts stored in one place seamlessly filled into to any Firefox based internet browser web form has saved me countless hours over many years.

I don't like that you have to have the Menu bar open to use it. It's a minor gripe because it's only a right click away though I like this menu setup better than Google Chrome overall but a drop down menu available when the Menu bar is hidden would be a nice integrated feature. Perhaps there is an add-on for this as I've just thought of this and will look into it.

Firefox has saved me an innumerable amount of time over the years with the ability to learn about anything, anytime. Firefox allows Google and other search engines to exist and get taken for granted in a sense that it is a technology allowing so much time to be saved and knowledge to be possible in my opinion. Firefox is an invaluable tool which I use a lot and am thankful for it. It's a wonder that open sourced companies can compete right along side profit based companies in terms of technology and adaptability but Mozilla Firefox has been at this longer than Chrome and you can't beat the price tag. Highly recommended.
