Microsoft Project is easy to use and does not have many complexities which detriment it from working well for its intended purposes. It just about can handle anything in relevance to project management to suit large teams or small ones.

For small projects, a business or team may not need to employ such a 'beast' project management software like Microsoft Project. Sometimes in many cases smaller is better for now and then. I found that for smaller projects using a simpler software seems to deviate the complications for new users of learning everything in one swoop- only because the options & features of Microsoft Project are abundant and sometimes, un-necessary.

Microsoft is one of the largest software companies that exists right now and when it has products you know it will monopolize the market with an outstanding product. It is a very cost-effective resource for teams and businesses to collaborate and utilize to organize, schedule, plan, and process anything and everything needed for a project to be managed. For smaller projects it may be a little to much, and perhaps a simpler option should be pursued.
