QuickBase

Intuit Quickbase allows you to create custom apps to help your team make organization and management of various business tasks and processes relatively simple. I like the sheer quantity of tool available in your account. Under the hood so to speak there are several hundred apps available to install instantly and range in type, and generally serve the purpose of making business easier with anything to do with your documents, project and people. This is not a marketing tool in itself but an internal tool which facilities better productivity and allows you to serve clients information they need as well much quicker than anything manual as in the past. I like the variety of apps a lot. If you have a big data and need to organize bits of it ongoing for specialized purposes then you'll be happy to have found Quickbase. It removes the hardcore coding required to create custom apps. I'm relatively comfortable with the system overall with intermediate HTML and CSS skills. Anything I didn't know I'm confident could be found in the knowledge base or community or elsewhere online.

I appreciate that this app solution may be well suited to larger teams but it would be nice to see a small team plan available for a low cost or free. In my opinion they are alienating a potential market without this and would do well to explore the possibility of a one, two or three app plan based on a freemium business model which empowers entrepreneurs and start ups which may well become their paid customers down the road. This also lends to an increase in positive word of mouth due to the new user base. Freebie seekers may well be included and not offer much value but I believe the quality of reviews and potential prospects created by this action would have a more positive effect than not doing so. The user interface to be honest is quite busy and not overly intuitive to me. I've been researching a lot of business software lately and with nearly three hundred I have spent time analyzing you definitely notice the extra few seconds it takes to find a menu item. Of course part of this has to do with my current state of mind and perspective I realize but even as the interactive tutorial was leading me through upon initially logging into my account, with nearly every contextual informational arrow it pointed to I found myself stuttering to notice it's point instantly. And sure this is also perhaps because I've become oversensitive to nuances of varied user interfaces but in my opinion the intuitive user friendliness I've experienced recently with Intuit Quickbase is about a five or six out of ten, with ten being super intuitive yet fully functional. The functionality is not particularly difficult to use once you find it but it seems kind of scattered wherever on the page and changes from page to page quite a lot so there's not a lot of consistency between them. While there are plenty of icons as well. It's not all labeled so until you know it well enough it's not going to be second nature. Like I said practice helps of course, and these are simple things in themselves but if you're using five or ten different softwares casually or every day then the drag created by five or ten NON-user friendly software user experiences adds up to a non-creative, not nearly as productive day because you're constantly re-learning especially as a casual user of Intuit Quickbase.

Overall, my comments above aren't actually a major issue. The negative aspect I was sharing is a minor inconvenience at best and with constant use this software would become second nature because it makes what it does much simpler. I am only interested in the fastest possible learning curve. I'm willing to take it because it's QuickBase has relatively unique value in the market and is worth a look at their trial to see if it's suitable for your company.
