Central Desktop

iMeet Central formerly known as Central Desktop is a project management software as a service available in the cloud. I like that it's in the cloud so your team can have access from any device they are using. There are native mobile apps available for iOS and Android which is good so the experience remains very consistent across devices. I like that there is a Home tab with your workspace activity at a glance. It's the first thing I like to do each day is have the big picture so you can drill down to improve performance. I like that you can create a wiki to organize your documentation. This is a separate subscription with other similar softwares such as Confluence. I also like you can utilize a good variety of file and document types as well as spreadsheets from your account. The collaborative nature is quite could you can maintain discussions across your account very easily. It's great to have the Gantt Chart capabilities. This is another feature which differentiates it in the market so far in my research into quite a few project managers. Other than Team Gantt and perhaps one other it's not an available chart type in most project managers in my experience so that's good. The calendaring is quite good with events which can be organized by task and milestone as well. It's easy to view all of the people on your team from your workspace tab and configure role based permissions and the according access. The time tracking is also a strong feature and not available in all project managers without a third party integration in most cases. I like that you can track against tasks which makes this more of a sales tool than typically would be the case because you can measure billable hours. There's also quite a lot of customization and configuration possible in your account including custom fields, look and feel, tab options and more. The tab option is cool so you can add or remove modular components easily and create a greater focus on the task at hand for yourself and individuals on your team. There are a lot more options as well to help you make the user experience highly customized which is great. It adds up to greater efficiency and productivity certainly.

I don't see any integrations available other than a single sign on which may be their own, but otherwise there is no way to enable a 360 view across your sales and support departments which I believe is the best case scenario having everyone on the same page. It's not the most visual project management system I have used either. Basecamp 3 for example is highly visual which suits my particular use best. I believe the time tracking could be better as well, it's certainly useful though could have more advanced features and could perhaps be slightly more accessible from your Home workspace.

iMeet Central is a solid project management tool with just about everything you need built in under the hood so to speak. There are no integrations which I see are available so there's no way to connect your customer relationship management tool, your social media, support desk, marketing platform and others which are available in other project managers to be integrated for a more 360 lifecycle based project management system. Though I really like the configuration and customization options in your account. There's a lot you can do to streamline your approach and enable yourself and team to be as focused, efficient and productive as possible including your choice of modular components to be displayed in your workspace which is awesome. I find the pricing to be a bit above average though there is a good return on investment possible certainly.
