For the ranking, these five key factors were used to review them: Review strength, reputation strength, profile strength, reviewer strength and verified status. They carry five sub-factors which plays a role key in determining how a company will be ranked.

Review Strength: It has subcategories such as;

  • Number of Reviews: The algorithm used here literally gives priority to the number of reviews a company has. For example, a computer hardware company with a lot of reviews will do better than a computer hardware company with lesser views.
  • Category specific reviews: Every specific category comes with its own reviews; the total number of reviews in each of these categories is given consideration. For example, a computer hardware company with lots of computer hardware client reviews will fare better than a computer hardware company that has a lot of computer software client reviews.
  • Percentage of anonymous reviews: Reviews given from anonymous reviewers are given less consideration than reviews made by individuals that have choose to publish their identities.

Reputation strength: The total number of negative reviews a company has lowers the chances of its products ranking high.

Reviewer strength: Reviews from clients are given the second highest because they directly use of the products and services. Example: If two companies have been rated equally but one of the companies has ten positive client reviews, it will be ranked higher than a company with 10 employee reviews.

  • Competitor reviews: If at any point a company happens to get a positive review from their competitor, this will be given the highest consideration because the competitor is commending the product.For example, between two companies that have been rated equally, a computer hardware company that receives 5 positive reviews from its competitors will fare better off than one with 5 positive reviews from its clients.
  • Employee reviews: Employees have a one on one involvement with the products and the services, therefore any reviews from employees are highly regarded. i.e., presuming two companies have been rated equally, an emailing software company with 7 employee reviews will rank higher than an emailing software company with 7 potential client reviews.
  • Percentage of LinkedIn Reviews: A LinkedIn reviewer is viewed as reliable therefore significant consideration is provided to such reviews. Example, presuming they are equally rated, a computer software company with LinkedIn reviews will outperform a computer software company with no LinkedIn Reviews
  • Potential Client Reviews: Opinions given by potential clients who may not have bought the product because of one reason or another is considered, Example, presuming that two companies have been rated equally; the company with 5 potential client reviews ranks higher than a company with no review from a potential client.

Profile strength:

  • Profile Completeness: How complete a profile is contributes to the outcome of the ranking; the algorithm considers how complete a profile is.
  • Minimum Number of Reviews: If a company has 5 reviews as their minimum, they are ranked higher.
  • Minimum Number of LinkedIn Reviews: All you need is 3 LinkedIn reviews and you will fare better than one who has no LinkedIn reviews.

Verified Status:

. They give advantage to those companies that are willing to be transparent and honest about their credentials. So they require a company’s verification letters from CMA, CFP or an attorney.

That is why the above named 5 BPMS are most reliable because they have been thoroughly reviewed by the most important person; the user.
