Tips for a Successful Dynamics 365 Implementation Consultancy

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 is poised to be the ultimate Microsoft cloud tool which gives businesses an opportunity to manage a highly competent product onsite. But its biggest strength lies in its constant updating, to Microsoft’s commitment in creating an enhanced and highly functional cloud platform.

Plan ahead: Given that this is an infrastructure tool, you will need to plan your infrastructure capabilities ahead of time. The Dynamics 365 works with constant updating. Part of planning a good implementation strategy is also to know what you are good at, your strengths and weaknesses. You cannot spread yourself too thin or go where you’ve never gone before! So, know what you want, your focus area and your goal.

Get used to it: Before you sell it to clients, use it yourself. As the name suggests, the Microsoft Dynamics 365  is being constantly updated. So, you need to know what the latest offerings are before you recommend it to others. Understand how it can benefit your clients, its effect on their business and how it can change the way they do their business.

Get your clients onboard: It is always easy to sell a product to existing clients than approach an entirely new market. Additionally, an existing client base can act as your own network base. Starting with an existing client base has other advantages. A dry run with loyal customers can expose your own weaknesses and how you can improve your own consultancy.

Start with customer events: You need to make sure that you get the word out there. You can start with simple mailers or a more direct contact. But a better approach would be to hold a conference or customer event where you can educate others while showing your own competency. Get a competent marketing team to handle this part of the project. You are selling a product to businesses. So, you need an expert who can sell it for you!

Make it relatable: To say that your clients need it is simply not enough. You need to tell them why they need it. A software product is attractive only when your buyer can see its potential. Give them examples of how it can work in practical terms.

Decide on the variables: The Dynamics 365 implementation can be on a time and material basis or for a fixed-price. Each has its own strengths. You need to know which of these your strong suit is. For example fixed-time implementation requires a tight control on deliverables and budget. If that is a problem, focus on time and material based implementation. There is no harm in specializing in certain field while you work on your overall skill.

Work on employee skill set: Like any good software implementation, Dynamics 365 needs constant training. So, make sure that your consultants get training under experts and acquire certifications.

Build partnerships: Every successful consultancy depends on partnerships. So, focus on building long-terms partnerships instead of one-time sale. Bone up on your people skills, deliver an exceptional consumer experience and you will have a booming partnership.
