What was the best part about using Adobe Reader?

Almost everyone has used this program at some point. It's easy to take it for granted because it's made viewing PDF files linked to our email, on a website, from our cloud storage account and other places online so easy we often forget we installed it when our computer was new. So I appreciate the solid free value. Even though there are other options out there it has been the most prevalent in terms of use and though slow at times has been very reliable overall. There are upgrades available which are all under ten bucks per month and help you to export unlimited PDF converted to Word or Excel files for two bucks per month. Or get electronic signatures and tracked responses for ten bucks per month. You can share and track all of your files for two bucks per months and you can do combine, convert and send PDF's for seven fifty per month. While there are annual plans available for a bit of saving. But to be honest you can get all of these services freely if you the right Google searches. There's no reason to ever pay for an upgraded PDF conversion service I've found them all freely online, including the ability to unlock PDF's and it was a regular software which does so not anything blackhat. Of course, the best part is having your documents opened automatically on the web, or from your computer with a single click. We've almost all done this at some point some of us thousands of times. While I like that you can sign documents and do annotations in the documents with the basic version now. The premium version allows you to send PDF for signature and track it I suppose as the difference. I do believe there was a time when you couldn't sign PDF's and you had to upgrade, or were forced to use a third party tool to do so.

What would you change about your experience with Adobe Reader?

I don't like how when you click on the Title of the Adobe Reader premium add-on (not the buy button) to learn more it takes you to the checkout and your internet browser back button doesn't work so their trapping you slightly in a sense into buying. It's just a hassle to open another tab; I'm never going feel obliged to purchase simply because I can not click on the back button. I also don't like that it's a 624 MB installation on your laptop. That seems huge to open and view documents. It can be slow loading if you have other software open or it's reading a large pdf on your computer for the first time. The links in Adobe PDF's take a long time to load up in an internet browser in my opinion. It is a bit better than a few years ago perhaps with better computer performance but it's still a good ten to twenty seconds I would say regularly depending on the size of the document.

Overall Feedback

It's great to have a reader work for you to open documents quite seamlessly. It's free so you can never complain about the price. I find the software itself performs on the slower side in terms of loading up initially and opening links on the internet. But otherwise once a document is loaded up it operates quick and smoothly. There are other PDF readers out there which may be faster such as MuPDF, Okular, SumatraPDF and others to consider. The premium upgrades are unnecessary I know for a fact you can get all of this done for free if you to some smart searching. I recall doing each of these items, and also unlocking PDF's without having to pay for it or use anything blackhat. There are loads of specialized tools that work online, some are downloads but they do not cost a thing. Though Adobe Acrobat Pro does a lot more functionality for advanced users.
