Adobe After Effects

I subscribe to Adobe's Creative Cloud and was curious to learn After Effects recently for it's video capabilities for my projects. I like the text and vector based painting tools which are pressure sensitive. You have precise control over brush strokes behaviors and properties because of it which is great because it makes it very creative. It integrates with the other software which I use frequently including Photoshop and utilizes layers much the same way. You can create amazing effects for video with text fonts as well once you get the hang of it and it's fun. The creative possibilities are what makes Adobe software superb once you learn how to use layers and various tools and based on experience it's worth it to take the time to do so.

I love Adobe software in general so the only thing not to like is that it does take time to learn to master any one of them though that's a process to be expected and it's worth it. Not only because they are fun and creative to use but their softwares interconnect in a lot of ways which helps speed up this process when leaning additional softwares. And it is a recurring cost to use their software nowadays which makes costly for bigger teams but as individual it is relatively affordable considering the value and creativity possible in my opinion.

Overall, it's quite a robust feature set to become familiar with as all of their software are, but having learned Photoshop previously in particular helps a lot as they use common terminology and menus which makes it much simpler to get your head around. So if you take the time to learn one Adobe software it goes a long ways when learning the others. My best recommendation if you're just learning this software is to Google 'After Effects keyboard map' or 'After Effects keyboard shortcuts' in order to find a graphic which will point out all of the keyboard shortcuts on a single page. Go through them initially and you'll not only learn the software but you'll learning the fastest way to use it at the same time.
