QuickBooks Time

TSheets is a payroll and time tracking software as a service available with a free trial to evaluate it for your business. We are planning for integration this year and currently exploring all of our options accordingly. My first impression is that there is a certainly a lot of functionality in your account. Compared to the old school method of utilizing spreadsheets and documents this is going to be a massive time saver and that savings is money for your bottom line. I have recently surveyed a decent number of time tracking and payroll SAAS and was very curious about how this one stacked up. At first glance the dashboard seemed busy but after a few moments of exploring it became intuitive overall. Everything is easy to use and clearly labeled for easy navigation. There are both native iOS and Android apps available which is good to maintain your best consistency across device, operating system and internet browsers. It's easy to setup users and regulate standards and policies securely. The overtime functionality is quite strong and perhaps one of the strongest features which differentiate it somewhat from other similar solutions. I've also read a lot that TSheets support team is terrific though I've had no need to be in touch with them yet at all which is a good thing.

The overall design is quite good so it's not a major issue by any means but it seems a bit clunky in that you must still click various modular components from a single menu and arrange them according to your workflow. There's just not a lot of automation to recreate your optimal workflow quickly that I am seeing. It would be useful to have the ability to create a job with a certain amount of hours which users could bill against to help with scoping costs mostly. I don't see the ability to add clients in the current functionality which is somewhat odd in my opinion. You can do so via Quickbooks which is cool but there are many uses for this in my opinion because there are a variety of business models beyond employee and employer. It would be nice to contractor or freelancer time tracking capabilities such as HubStaff, for example. Once again simply because there are so many ways to have help on your team besides the conventional model. I also wish there were more integrations beyond Quickbooks as far as accounting software goes. Xero, Freshbooks and Wave Accounting come to mind as great alternatives to Quickbooks, though I do appreciate they do offer both Quickbooks versions which will make both small business owners and our professional accountants happy.

The pricing is fair and the free plan for less than five projects offers outstanding value which I appreciate. The native apps are good to go and the iOS in particular works very well. The company has been around a long time and in that the feedback on it's reliability is excellent. For conventional time tracking and payroll purposes this is a great software that is very affordable and easy to use. Implementing this software would be a breeze even for larger teams. Beyond the initial setup for each project and employee which is manual data entry there is a tremendous ease of use. You will have great efficiency and productivity by your team by switching to an online payroll and time tracking service. If you have a conventional employer and employee business model is it especially helpful with it's current feature set. Otherwise, individual contractors and freelancers may prefer Hubstaff or Toggl instead. And Gusto and Wagepoint are two other awesome payroll software as a services to keep in mind.
